right ALT key problem with kde-3.2/3.2.1

Hi!

Since installing kde-3.2 (the same for kde-3.2.1, both from the kde site), the right ALT key dosn't work any longer. That means I can't use the the following keys, eg: @ ~ [ ] ...
In the login shell everything is ok, but when I start kde (startx) the problem is there.

With kde-3.1.4 I didn't have the problem.

I'm using slack-9.1, all patches installed.

Thank's

Additional infos:

Only normal users have the problem with the right ALT key.
Using the root account, everything is ok.

Problem solved!

About the same time I upgraded KDE, I added some lines to /etc/rc.d/rc.local to clean the temp directories (/tmp; /var/tmp).
I have no explanation for this, but after removing those lines, all was right again.
