rebuilding the packages.

I'm trying to rebuild the packages in the install CD,
and replace the packages in the CD.

But skimming the scripts from the source directory,
i found not all scripts are automatically generating
packages, and even the scripts building the packages
are not making the exactly the same packages. for example,
in install CD, gcc is separated into small packages: gcc, g++,
g77, objc etc. But the script is generating one big package.
How do i make exactly the same split packages?

i'm currently rebuilding gcc and glibc, and glibc script does not
make the tgz package(with one error on stripping glibc.so).
When i tried makepkg and upgradepkg, my linux filesystem
was blown up ...

anybody rebuilt the install CD, please help.
