Problem with USB Mouse Slackware 11.0

Hi, I just installed Slackware 11.0 on my laptop, and I got a problem with my optical mouse (Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000)
When I get on GUI my mouse just don't work as well,

What can I do to make my mouse work?

Thanks,

Post your /etc/X11/xorg.conf
just don't work as well, as well as what?
What is it doing or not doing that you want to change.

Mine did the same. So, I tried all the kernels and only the huge26.s kernel supported the mouse properly. I recommend trying that kernel.

Well, go into the slackware CD or DVD, go to "extra/linux-2.6.17.13" and installpkg:

Code:
installpkg kernel-generic-2.6.17.13-i486-1.tgz; installpkg kernel-modules-2.6.17.13-i486-1.tgz; installpkg kernel-source-2.6.17.13-noarch-1.tgz
That's pretty much it.

In case you don't know what I'm talking about, put slackware CD #2 or DVD into your drive and:

Code:
su
<Enter your root password>
mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/tmp
cd /mnt/tmp/extra/linux-2.6.17.13
installpkg kernel-generic-2.6.17.13-i486-1.tgz
installpkg kernel-modules-2.6.17.13-i486-1.tgz
installpkg kernel-source-2.6.17.13-noarch-1.tgz
cd
umount /dev/cdrom
eject /dev/cdrom
Now reboot and it should boot the new kernel.
