Angry Problem with startx...

I just installed slackware 9.1 (on a different hard drive) and I started gnome (with startx) and everything worked fine, I reconfigured some things, and played a few games. Then I decided to try connecting to the internet, so I loaded windows to get the info I needed, and then booted back into linux to set it up, but when I typed 'startx', it wouldn't load. It said something like:

"Screen found but not (something)"
"No screens found"

Does anyone know what's wrong?

I just ran xf86config, and it's working now, so nevermind.

Okay, since I stopped to read the post on the 0 Replies list in the Slackware forum,
I'm posting just to get it off that list.

what kind of gpu chipset do you use ?

it seems that one device node disappeared in /dev

you should log in console mode and try if everything is there in /dev

good luck
