problem with sound recording

Hey guys,

OK, not long ago here was a thread about "jerky sound" playback, so I'll do one about recording :P

I have HDA VIA VT82xx laptop sound card.
Alsa version is 1.0.23
Distribution is Slackware 13.1
kernel is 2.6.37
Desktop environment KDE4

I have tried to run alsamixer
Also alsaconf
(by the way it shows this: hda-intel VIA Technologies, Inc. VT1708/A [Azalia HDAC] (VIA High Definition))

I also tried different recording applications,
arecord
and
audacity

I tested if the problem is CPU speed related, (kernel is compiled for low latency and for my core 2 duo),
so I can run 3 videos simulteneously in youtube and record audio in audacity the recording doesn't contain any jumps or other signs of problems, so system speed is OK.

And now after long introduction , the problem is:

As louder sound source gets as louder jerky noises gets in the background, here is example: http://files.inbox.lv/ticket/da3370b...75451/test.wav

Now I am tired and have to go to sleep have no strength to continue, so for few hours there won't be answer, but may be somebody has solved this problem already.

yepp... that was a test

Actually I have no time to post more, but today I collected some information about what I should try, later this evening will post my results.

No I do not believe that jack connection has a problems, BECAUSE, I can redirect recording through stereo mix (record some sounds or music that is proccessed by my PC) and the resault is the same so it cannot be the microphone problem, and yes the microphone is not the high and but it is tested and provides quality recording

OK that was strange, I just switched on today my system and started to try solve the problem and in audacity recorded audio quality was perfect, as fortune in my bash says problems that goes away by them selves, come back by them selves so I started to look where is the problem.

For some reason in audacity settings now (I don't remember yesterday settings) for recording were set to (hw:0,0), when I changed it to default, background noises came back

I tried to record sound with arecord problems are still present and no matter how hard I try to change alsamixer settings or give all possible switches to arecord noises are present for some reason it stubbornly uses default setting.

But OK I am setting this problem as solved, because there is a way now how can I record quality sound.

Edit:
Yeah and a bit more - in skype I can use only default device with noises, because if I set to hw0:0, the recorded sound output is two times slower than normal
but for my luck in skype these noises are little and I can live with that
