Problem running digikam

Hi,
I installed Digikam from the package downloaded from linuxpackages.net. Now when I run digikam I get the following error message.
Quote:
digikam: error while loading shared libraries: libkipi.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
So I dowloaded libkipi-0.0.cvs20040920-3.1.i586.rpm and converted it to tgz and installed it. Even after installing it I am getting the same message. When I search for libkipi, it is found /opt/kde3/lib

I am running Slackware 10.1.

Any suggestions?

Ok,
I downloaded libkipi-0.1.1-i486-1mht.tgz from kde-apps and installed it.
Ran digikam, and got the following error -
digikam: error while loading shared libraries: libImlib2.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I think this is a good example of dependency hell and it is getting on my nerves.

Try the digikam packages from www.linuxpackages.net. check the "Details" option and download/install the specified packages for dependencies.
