possible to integrate spkg into SW install/setup ?

Hi,

I'm sure most of you have at least heard about spkg:

comparing pkgtools to spkg here: installation is at least 4x faster
So, I'm wondering if it's possible to integrate this in the SW installer to speed up the install process.

I'm asking this because I know this has not already been done, so there must some issues with it, right ? I'm just wondering if it's a good idea.

I'll probably try it anyway, but it'll save me a burnt disk or several if someone has tried this before or has more info on it.

Thanks.

That's a good question. The site is still up, so that's a good sign. But, I guess technically it is not stable yet ?
