For those of you who actually did install NVidia drivers... what are the advantages? Do X apps actually run faster and/or smoother?

Offtopic I know... but I honestly think it's somewhat related.

My games actually run faster (NWN). Also, I get all the little perks like mouse cursor shadowing.

I know my x86 config is setup fine ... unless there's somethign to add for options for the graphics module ...

I have no problems at all with the new nvidia driver/script. However I have ran into that "kernel header file" error you are explaining sometimes after I have re-compiled my kernel. Removing my symlink (rm /usr/src/linux) temporaraily and then running the script again solved the problem though and installed the drivers. After which I put my symlink back.
