nvidia audio driver

Hi y'all

I just got a new laptop (HP dv6000 series) and did a fresh slackware 12.1 installation... I managed to get the wireless and video working perfectly but I'm having a hard time with the audio... see, the audio works, it sounds ok but I can not mute when I check alsamixer there is no <MM> above the master nor PCM

00:07.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP67 High Definition Audio (rev a1)

anybody knows where can I get a better driver? or anybody know what can I do?

PS: I installed ubuntu before slackware and the it worked ok -- I'm just not ubuntu user :P

The <MM> should appear if you are on the slider and press the 'M' key, or the SPACE bar. Otherwise, it will be a <00>

Does that work?

yeah I've tried alsaconf and it detects the card... and as I said, it works i mean it does sound... only problem is that I can not mute

I just tried pressing M or SPACE in alsamixer but not joy...

I just noticed/remembered that in kmixed it was a little circle that when you press it it mutes... well it does not appears in my system...

I think it has to do with the drivers... any ideas?
