No wireless with kernel 3.0 rc.7

Hi All. I posted about this in relation to rc.1, but am still having problems.

I have built the kernel starting with the config for 2.6.39 in 13.37 testing, ran make oldconfig, then added CONFIG_RTL8192SE=m and a couple of cpu options in make menuconfig.

The rtl8192se module doesn't load at boot. When I modprobe r8192se_pci, I don't get any error messages. The kernel log doesn't have any entries relating to the module either.

I'd like to sort this out-is there anyway that I can modprobe is some kind of verbose mode to see if there is any output when I try and load the module? Any other generic, or specific advice on debugging a wireless device modules woudl be appreciated.

Kris
