New install Slackware 14.1, no wifi

Hello,
I have a new install of Slackware 14.1,
Code:
iwconfig
reveals no wireless connection.
The slack docs. says.
Code:
# iwconfig
as root. If that tool reports “no wireless extensions” for all your network interfaces then the kernel does not have a driver for your wireless card and you'll have to find one online.

Ironically, The same install has recognized my wireless card before,
but not now.
Anyway, I can access a wired connection at the public library, I only have wireless at home.
My question is, once I am connected via ethernet at the library, is there any special instructions I should be aware of to find the
drivers for my air card or will it automatically detect?
My wireless adapter is.

To be fair 14.1 is 3 years old now. It might be worth trying Eric's live DVD to see if your wireless card works in 14.2.

Thank you, I have thought of 14.2, just haven't gotten to it yet.
Regarding my wifi connection, I have solved it and am now online using Slackware 14.1 to post this
After reading further in the Slack Docs, I found that the network manager does not start by default,
It has to have the init script made executable by
Code:
# chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.networkmanager
This solved it for me.
