I need to reinstall glibc-2.3.2 as it's needed to run xwindows. I uninstalled it from /var/log/packages so I could install the new version of pango(ultimately trying to get gtk+ installed). After installing pango(which had detected the old version of glib along w/ the new one) I can no longer run x because glibc-2.3.2 is needed. Can I reinstall it from the cd? Please help.
I downloaded a glibc-2.3.2.tar.gz from gnu.org but can't get it to ./configure bc I need a seperate build dir and don't know which files to move.
