i guess for konqurer it's a fontsetting in the window manager you use ?
for kde that would be in the control center.

and mozilla has it's own settings under edit-->preferences.

What resolution are you using? I remember once I had a new installation and the resolution was 800x600 and I could hardly seee anything. Is it only the web browsers that are large?

edit the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf
in the screen section you can change resolution
( i alway fill in one resolution in one colordepth )

also, in the monitor section, check the hor. and vert. refresh rates.
they should fit to your monitor.

Here is the last part of my xorg.conf file. As you can see, you can nominate what resolutions you want to be able to choose.
Code:
Section "Screen"
	Identifier "Screen0"
	Device "Card0"
	Monitor "Monitor0"
	DefaultColorDepth 24
	SubSection "Display"
		Depth 1
		Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
	EndSubSection
	SubSection "Display"
		Depth 4
		Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
	EndSubSection
	SubSection "Display"
		Depth 8
		Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
	EndSubSection
	SubSection "Display"
		Depth 15
		Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
	EndSubSection
	SubSection "Display"
		Depth 16
		Modes "1280x1024" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
	EndSubSection
	SubSection "Display"
		Depth 24
		Modes "1280x1024" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
	EndSubSection
Cheers

If you are using KDE go to preferences and then display the option is selectable on the first screen. I am always looking for bigger fonts for higher resolutions. Your problem will be no problem.
