Mouse Issues (not the "ordinary" scroll ones)

Ok, installed 10.2 and downloaded-recompiled the 2.6.13 kernel....
everything is doing fine with it but my mouse suddenly stopped to work...
It just freezed once and doesn't wanna move
I logged into the 2.4 kernel and it works like a charm...so I dunnow what's the
matter with it....
I even tried to change the mouse protocol from PS/2 to IMPS/2 or Auto...but nothing...
How can this problem be solved...or i have to get back to 2.6.9 kernel that I
used with Slack 10.1 :/ ?
Thanks

Ok i looked a bit in my dmesg and found this error:

PNP: No PS/2 controller found. Probing ports directly.

But that's a bit strange cuz my PS2 mouse is plugged in !?
What could be the problem?

If you look carefully it says "No PS/2 controller found" not 'No PS/2 device found'.
It seems to me a matter of drivers.

Hope this helps.
