More Admin Tasks in KDE4

Yesterday I upgraded this desktop box to KDE-4.2. I modify the K Menu System menu to add entries for "kdesu KWrite" & "kdesu dolphin". This works fine for KWrite & also worked the FIRST time I ran dolphin. However, since that first time, the file window is blank & this error appears below the file window:
Quote:
Could not start process. Cannot talk to klauncher. The name org.kde.klauncher was not provided by any service files.
Dolphin still works fine for my normal user & if I log in as root, it works as well. I can also run "kdesu thunnar" & do file management as root. That is my current workaround. Anybody have any ideas on how I can get this to work?
Regards,
Bill

I have the same problem and use "kdesu konqueror" as a workaround.

There should really just be a "do as root" option in Dolphin...

I think I might try Krusader again. I used it a lot in the past.

IIRc, on my arch in KDE 4.2, I found some package called root actions or something like that, then you'd get a right click menu entry saying root actions, open as root and some more others in dolphin. I couldn't fine any such thing on Fedora now, but again this is 4.1.4
