Logitech Camera

well here I am once again I got a logitech fusion quick cam,,, running slackware 13.1 on this old p4, I have a couple questions.

1 how do I find if the hardware is being detected ?\
2 whats a good package to test vid cam with ?
3 are there any config files i gotta play with?

I found this and my camera is on its list As I understand its Naturally supported by Linux ie driver and buss support etc?

1. dmesg, lsusb
2. mplayer, vlc, etc.

You can also use guvcview from SBo (and dependencies) to test your camera and all available settings.
