i compile a kernel for my system, but when i run lilo i get an error that says something like " Fatal error kernel is too big."

is there any way i can get around this becuase i don't really like GRUB.

any replys are greatly apreciated.

I don't think its a problem with Lilo... It sounds like the kernel you've compiled is too big for your RAM. How much RAM you got, and how big is the kernel?

I think I had a similar error once when I forgot to run lilo after I changed my kernel. Did you run lilo?
