lilo error:linuxebda too big?


im making a slack system from an old p200 computer. i've compiled the 2.4.20 kernel, but when i try to boot (with lilo) it gives me the error:

linuxEBDA too big

how do i fix that?

that would have to be to do with the options you gave the kernel before compiling. Try compiling again and going through every option very carefully.

I once got that message when I installed a newly recompiled kernel with the same version and name as the previous and didn't run lilo after that. Make sure you run lilo every time you do any changes to your kernel.
