Lilo Configuration

Okay, I edited my /etc/lilo.conf file and commented out the prompt and well, didn't work, still brings up the prompt. I've also tried changing the timeout to 0, 100 etc and also tried commenting that one and prompt. Is there something I'm missing?

Did you run lilo after making the changes?

Yes, after editing the lilo.conf file, you need to open a root console and type lilo to have lilo re-read the config file.
Watch/read the output carefully, to make sure there are no errors and that your booting image is listed. Entries with a asterisk beside them is the default entry.

You can also use GRUB, this way you don't need to "run grub" by every change in the config file.

Just a tip.

I personally run Lilo in my desktop and grub in my netbook asus eeepc.
