Leftover Grub

Hi,
I've become fedup with RH lately, and decided to opt for Slack 8.1 instead.
Went through the install (did a quick format on existing Linux partions) and selected Lilo with an entry on my MBR as my bootloader.
It seems that the GRUB install from RH is still present, as that is what pops up on reboots. This was installed on the MBR also.
My question is, how can I get rid of it to allow Lilo to run?
Thanks,
Brandon

I'd suggest using grub anyway. Check out grub.sf net. There's also a good article here:

grub's much more robust than lilo, and it allows more flexibility.

You may have to boot with a Windows boot disk and at the prompt, type fdisk /mbr.

This will remove both, so you will have to boot into linux and re-install lilo/grub.
