i am running slackware on a p 4 1.3 ghz with 256 mb ram. 64 MB nvidia geforce 4 vedio card.

My problem is that, when brosing the web with konqueror, it is very slow.. ie konqueror takes a long time to load a page when compared to firefox (i guess this is expected ), but konqueror seems to run slower than mozilla also.

it takes a long time to load a page and when it does load the page, it fails to show some of the pictures

is there any optomizations that i need to do to impove the web browsing performance of Konqueor?

Why don´t you just use firefox?

KDE 3.3.X?

For some odd reason kde 3.3 uses ipv6 by default, if your DNS server doesn't support it it will slow things down badly...

Put it in some startup script somewhere. :-)
