kernel 2.6.17 + xine with problem

i compiled my own kernel 2.6.17 and xine couldn't play my vcd anymore.
I even upgrade the xine-lib to version 1.1.x but still no hope. Anyone has any idea for me?
thanks.

I am running Slackware-current with a 2.6.17.1 kernel and Xine plays VCDs for me.

Please read http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html to learn how to ask questions in a way more likely to get you a satisfactory answer.
