Kernel 2.6.17.13 assistants

ok guys i finally got a system running that can see my usb devices but im having some issues.. i installed 11.0 with the 26.huge kernel and it has no modules so when i go to install the modules:

mount /mnt/cdrom

in the end it tells me fs system or invalid fs, basicly it cant read the fs or maybe it just cant even see my cdrom drive i have also tryed

mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/tmp
still didnt work got the same stuff

i need to figure out how to get them modules installed, anyone know what could be up?

my cdrom is on /dev/cdrom?... in all other distros and slackware with the installer kernel its on /dev/hda

Hi

Try as root.
Code:
mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
If this doesn't work reboot the computer with the first slackware cd and read the boot message, I am trying to remember the syntax, but it is some thing like
Code:
huge26.s root=/dev/hda1 ro
.

NOW THIS NEEDS TO BE IN THE SAME SYNTAX AS THE BOOT CD, NOT MY MEMORY.

Once the system has booted change to cd 2 and install the kernel modules from /extra, modify the symlink for /etc/rc.modules remove the cd and reboot.

Hope this works.
