Red face KDE Keyboard layout switcher closed unexpectedly

I have installed slackware 64 current in my PC from an ISO CD I downloaded from one of the mirrors.
Everything was all right exept I wanted to get the last upgrade doing :
slackware update
slackware upgrade-all
When I tried to reboot I had a black screen after X server started.
Then I decided to edit xorg.conf to it's default before I installed the NVIDIA driver.
So I got my screen back.
I reconfigure my desktop running NVIDIA setting to the resolution and font I prefer.
But my keyboard layout is still querty when I configured it to azerty.
When I run system settings and Regional & Languages I get an error :
Quote:
KDE keyboard Layout switcher closed inexpectedly....report this error....
How can I enter command key to change the keybord layout to French ?

I assume that there is a typo in the above where 'slackware' is actually 'slackpkg'.
Did you also do 'slackpkg install-new'?
If not, you may have missed an added package ( e.g.libdbusmenu-qt-0.6.1-x86_64-1.txz ) that you need.

Wink

When I do a
slackpkg install-new
I have
Quote:
root@revo:/home/njb# slackpkg install-new

Looking for NEW packages to install. Please wait... DONE

No packages match the pattern for install. Try:

/usr/sbin/slackpkg upgrade|reinstall
and when I do it I have this :
Quote:
root@revo:/home/njb# /usr/sbin/slackpkg upgrade|reinstall
bash: reinstall: command not found
root@revo:/home/njb#
But for

I'll search for it in the slackbuilds, and install it.

I suggest you read what is output after 'man slackpkg'. Then you would see that the above should be read as "/usr/sbin/slackpkg upgrade" or "/usr/sbin/slackpkg reinstall".

You will not find it. Slackbuilds is for making packages of software that is not part of the official Slackware tree.

Are you sure that you have an appropriate mirror uncommented in /etc/slackpkg/mirrors and that you have removed any leading space character?
