Angry ISA sound card

Does anyone know how I can get an ISA sound card to work with Slackware 9.1? I can't afford to buy a new card right now, and I would really like to have sound other than that stupid system speaker. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

plug the card in, modprobe the right module... should be it really... there are things like isapnptools you might want to look at, but all i had to do to get mine working was to insert the card and go for a "modprobe es1371" which provided oss access to the device.

It mainly depends on the card and model? Which one are we dealing with?

The card is an Asound ISA plug-n-play card, I don't remember the exact model.
