Question Invalid Compressed Format (err=1)

I noticed my sound card wasn't loading, so I checked the sound module, ran make, and make modules_install. Everything looked fine with no errors, I go to reboot, and I get this right after "Uncompressing Linux..."

Anyone know what caused this?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It seems you also reinstall the whole kernel. Did you re-run lilo to update the boot sector after changing the kernel?
