hello guys how can install virtual machine in slackware? is it possible to install kvm and quemu? how?
qemu-kvm is available at Slackbuilds.org and installs fine; I just put it on the other day. I'm not using it yet because I'm trying to sort out a problem with USB support... a VM is useless to me w/o USB.
You might also look at VirtualBox. The PUEL edition (the one downloadable at the website) is fully capable of USB operations, as opposed to the open-source version, available at SBo. Also, Oracle's binary is compatible with Slackware(64), 13.x & -current. Just run the binary per their instructions.
Regards,
Bill

Yeah, I've been running Virtualbox for a couple of years. I've gotten kinda sick of their on-again off-again USb support, though.

Me too. It had a bit of a flakey time on the 1.x to 2.0 version change (as does most software going to x.0) and some people say it is not the most performant virtualisation software but it is strong on ease of use and documentation and there are a lot of helpful people around with experience if you do get into trouble.
