Installing linux in MS Virtual Machine?

i have a virtual machine (installed with MS Virtual Server 2005) with some intalled OS's, but with more resources for additional installations.
- so can i install linux in this virtual server 5?
can they co-exist?
- will there be any issues given the fact that this installation is taking place in the virtual environment?
- have anyone succesfully done this before?
