this isnt the first time this has happened with slackware. with previous releases i have had similar problems.
anyways im tryin to install 9.0. i have the iso burned on a disk. md5sum checks out OK. basically, i choose 'expert' mode so i can choose the individual packages that i want to install as i go along. i have tried twice now, and at different package installs, the installer just hangs forever. i know it hangs because i cant hit ENTER and see a newline on the screen.
slackware really needs to do a better job of interacting with the person installing besides just a blinking underscore at the bottom left. at least send some indication that there is progress.
oh not to mention the installer hangs when i try using the ADDSWAP (3rd one down?) in the installer. so i have to do it manually before i enter setup with mkswap;swapon.
