imwheel & suid

I am trying to get all the buttons working with my M$ Intellimouse Exploder. I downloaded imwheel but when I try to run it with this command:

Quote:
imwheel -k -b "67"
I get an error message:

Quote:
ERROR: Couldn't write pid to pid file
Perhaps you want the -p option to avoid this...
Otherwise you may SUID root the imwheel executable.
: Permission denied
I tried to run imwheel with the -p option but it still didn't work. Do I have to 'SUID root' (whatever that means) and if so how do I do it?

Actually, nevermind the SUID thing. I fixed it without having to change any of that. I just had to type:

Quote:
imwheel -k -p -b "67"
and NOT

Quote:
imwheel -k -b -p "67"
If you type the second one it will give you an error about "not having a 0 button" or some such thing. You have to put the button numbers (in this case "67") immediately after the -b option, as in the first example.
