Mono provides a C# compiler. I found a package here for 12.0.

Slackbuilds.org has a slackbuild for Mono here:
http://slackbuilds.org/repository/12...elopment/mono/
Using a slackbuild allows you to build your own packages from source easily, as opposed to relying on someone else's pre-made binary package.

Happy Slacking!

As far as I know Mono includes much more than C#. There's also ASP.NET, Silverlight (via moonlight) and Visual Basic (via mono-basic).
Regarding .Net, as far as I know, .Net 1.x is fully implemented, .Net 2.x partially, don't know how much though. Only thing I can tell you is, that they have included Windows.Forms support lately.
