Welcome to LQ jimnyc2000!
Slackware is worth all the trouble of reading and learning HOW-TO use it.
If you don't have the time for reading, and wrestling some stuff to the
blood, then Slackware might just make you angry...
We got some HOW-TOs, and I think this
one will help you get a good DVD
or CDs so that you can finish the install.
You simply absolutely must verify the md5sum of the ISO image(s) you
download, and then the media you burn to afterwards.
masonm,
I've had a lot of trouble installing Slackware over the years. Such as
when I had SATA drives and there was no driver in the installer for
them. Had to build a custom Slackware install CD. But, I have always
been able to overcome these and other problems. Slackware has given
me back the
Personal
Computer that Mickey$oft Windoze took away.
