Hello, everyone. Could I request anyone to tell me the Slackware $PATH for me in /etc/profile? I thought I could start a program without having to set a PATH for that certain directory every time by editing /etc/profile and.. the ONLY command I could use was the program command that I put on /etc/profile. There should be only one line that shows up (it's somewhere in the top) I probably shouldn't of edited that file without completely learning about it
Example in vi PATH:
PATH=$PATH:/mystupidity/etc/etc
PATH=$PATH:/Path that lets me use vim command along with everything else
What I figure I could do is once I'm logged in, set the PATH to the old one, allowing me to re edit /etc/profile to allow me to use commands like ls (PATH works for some reason)
