Thanks for the Opera.

But what about other non-KDE apps ? Especcialy wine related ?

I am trying now cups-pdf from: www.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de/~vrbehr/cups-pdf/

but I cannot find any resulting pdf files.

Maybe I am little overworked today ?

You can print .ps and .pdf files directly with lpr; which
application are you using in Wine that you would like to print from?
Try finding "print to file" somewhere in the print dialog box if you
have one.

I finally installed cups-pdf. It adds a virtual printer to a Cups printer list so it is seen by all apps.
It works and gives me a pdf file as a result of the printing.
I will test it more during next days.

I've been using cups-pdf for some time. It dumps the pdf file in /var/spool/cups-pdf/${USER}, so I just made a symbolic link to a dir in my homedir, e.g. "pdfwriter".
Have a look at /etc/cups/cupd-pdf.conf for more details.
