Error when trying to 'Print to File (PDF)' in SUSE 10

Hi,

I can't get the 'Print to File (PDF)' facility working in SUSE 10.

Firstly, it appears in the KDE print manager, along with all the other printers, but doesn't appear on the list of available printers when printing from an application.

Secondly, if I try to do a test print via the KDE print manager, I get an error message which says:
A print error occurred. Error message received from system:

cupsdoprint -P 'Print to File (PDF)' -J " -H 'localhost:631' -U 'james' -o 'multiple-document-handling=separate-documents-uncollated-copies orientation-requested=3'
'/opt/kde3/share/apps/kdeprint/testprint.ps':
execution failed with

client-error-not-found
I've had a look through the other forums, and found this one...

...which seems to indicate that the Print to File (PDF) facility should just be there and working as standard.

Can anyone offer any advice as to why this isn't working for me, and what I can do about it? If this is just a configuration issue, what haven't I done?

Thanks

James.

OK, this is weird - the Print to File (PDF) option is back on the list of available printers, but if I try to print to it, the following happens:

- Output file created, but is only 1.1KB in size;
- Looking in KJobViewer, the job is just sitting there showing as 'processing', and doesn't do anything after that unless I kill it.

What's going on?!
