how to manage power option in slackware ?


in windows i put my computer in never turn off display and never put computer in sleep mode
i cant find this option in slackware

This settings could be DE dependant.
Which one are you using?

i install slackware with xfce but i'm using kde right now

man xset can tell you much better. Look for DPMS and screen saver options. Note that screen saver in this context != xscreensaver or any 'real' screen saver you are using.

in /etc/rc.d/rc.M:

change

Also never sleep mode can be set through the DE.

xset +dpms and xset -dpms enable and disable screen blanking.
