Power Option issue

I shut off all power options in the bios. I have an old 266 Dell Latitude laptop that I'm going to use as my router. Of course I want to be able to close the lid on the laptop with out it shutting it down. And right now it's working. But when I SSH to the laptop and choose reboot after installing a patch it shutsdown but never comes backup? Any suggestions?

I'm running Fedora Core 1.

Thanks,

BiG
