Before moving up to slackware from another distribution, I intentionally used 1 gnome application - that was glabels.
Glabels is the only easy to use application that makes printing of cd/dvd labels relatively easy and straight forward.
Unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately) slackware does not support gnome.
The only problem I have with this is that I have been unable to install glabels.
I would appreciate any advice on how to best satisfy the gnome requirements for installing the glabels application. (without, again, experiencing the requirements-hell).
Gary, typically, you run configure on glabels and then see what it bombs out on. Install that, oh wait. That wants something too. Install that. You already know this.
Gnashley used to maintain a gnome compatability something or other not too long ago. Might want to look into that maybe. I'd probably just recursively work backwards with the dependencies until you've met them all.
I've been on a Gnome strike for a couple months so I would help you, but I just don't seem to have the patience for it anymore. Slackware jumped ship while the waters wern't too deep. I stayed a fanboy until they started adding pam, policykit and consolekit...
Build the deps
wait for gsb or dropline
or find another prog

I hear you. glabels is the only gnome I'm really interested in.
I went thru that dependency rats-nest trying to install banshee; ended up re-installing slackware.
