How to get the lock screen action working???

I'v been wanting to get that damn button working since I installed Slackware 9.0. I did a full install and cannot figure out why it doesnt work. Also how do I choose a screensaver to run.

Thanks,

for both things, you need the Xscreensaver Daemon running.

To run it, I believe you add:

xscreensaver -nosplash

to your xinitrc file.
