How to find the real dial-up speed

Hello everybody!
I would like to ask if someone knows how could I find the real speed of my dial-up connection. I use kppp and the speed mentioned on he details of kppp is the speed between my external modem and my computer not between the modem and the ISP. Anyone has any idea?

DSLreports has a utility to measure your upload/download line speed. I don't know how accurate it really truly is, but it should suffice as a basic indicator
