Smile How to connect to internet and other Slackware questions


Hey, sorry to bother again, I've managed to finally install slackware.
Firstly, after disabling "composite" of kde to get it working, my mouse pointer is completely distorted?

Also, I'm trying to connect to the internet using my mobile broadband usb modem but it
is automatically detected as a cd drive :P. I want it or need it to detect it automatically like my debian or mint. Sorry, I just don't have any idea how to go about this. I had the same problem when testing out Puppy KDE, it also detected my modem as a cd drive, didn't need it at the time but now...

As always any help will be much appreciated!

You probably need to use usb_modeswitch (which is part of Slackware 13.37) to switch the modem from pretending it is a storage device to actually being a modem.
