I use Lenovo Thinkpad x230.
My Wireless Adapter is Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6205 [Taylor Peak] (rev 34).
Thank you for answering me. I did what this site says and then I doenloaded wicd and it worked I still cannot figured out why didn't it worked with changing the config file.
Thank you foe your reply I can reach the internet and I am able to use it but there is an error. Error for wireless request "Set Nickname" (8B1C) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
but this error does not affect anything.

that is just an harmless message, you can safely ignore it.
And one last question. How can I connect to an unsecured network at startup automatically like this.
I did this but this does not work. IFNAME[4]="wlan0"
IPADDR[4]=""
NETMASK[4]=""
USE_DHCP[4]="yes"
# DHCP_HOSTNAME="Freifunk"
WLAN_ESSID="Freifunk"

First thank you but I solved this. I forgot to write [4] after WLAN_ESSID.
That's the new config: IFNAME[4]="wlan0"
IPADDR[4]=""
NETMASK[4]=""
USE_DHCP[4]="yes"
# DHCP_HOSTNAME[4]="Freifunk"
WLAN_ESSID[4]="Freifunk"
Also if you accept my friend request I will be very happy and I can ask more questions.
