I'm using Debian Squeeze.
Old Debian Lenny used proc/scsi, whereas Squeeze uses sysfs. The Highpoint raid cards use proc/scsi.
I've had a RocketRaid 640 sitting on the shelf for more than a year because the driver wouldn't compile on a 2.6 kernel even after enabling proc/scsi support.
I never found any patches back when I bought the card. I have tried to install the driver on Debian, FreeBSD & OpenSUSE. All with complete failure.
Anyway, I recently found myself upgrading to kernel 3.0.0.1 to solve a motherboard sound driver issue.
So, I would like to attempt installing this raid card yet again. This time with the 3.0.0.1 kernel.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a patch that would work for me ?

Well,
I've tried this one with the mentioned patches for the 2640 card with no luck. it keeps complaining about the kernel version but other than that, it compiles but does not install. If anyone knows how to fix that please let me know.
