Fresh Install.

I just reinstalled Slackware last night, and I had a couple questions about the new install. First off, whenever I go to the command line, even though I am root user, the prompt says: "bash-3:" or something to that effect. The other thing is, that <tab> is not allowing me to autocomplete file and folder names. I am a little confused since when I first installed Slack 12, neither of these issues happened? Whats different? Thanks.

Sounds like a file in the /etc folder or in the /root folder is either missing, named incorrectly, or contains the wrong information (maybe it got overwritten during the install?). Perhaps the .bashrc or bash-profile or .loginrc or one of those type of hidden configuration files. That's where the prompt and/or bash profile is stored.
