Firefox & Thunderbird ERROR , help


this is the message when I try to run Thundebird and/or Mozilla FireFox

./thunderbird
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

(thunderbird-bin:32502): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:



what's missing on my Slack 10?????

Are u running it as another user in a xterm? (ie: you're root on your users's X server) are u running X?
I'm pretty sure you're trying to run it as root, start X with the user root, run it, then logout, login with your user, and enjoy
