Unhappy File manager ( super user) doesn't work

Hi, I think I posted this question before, but I don't see it on the list. Super user mode filemanager in kde was working now when I open it and put the root password in it opens and closes. Can I fix this with out re-installing? How? Also I don't have any screensavers in kde-how do I do a partial re-installation? Thanks
