Compile kernel 2.4.x with JFSS2 option

Hi!
Does someone know how to compile the kernel for slackware 11.0 so that it is possible to get a kernel with the option for jffs2 on?
There is no option for it in the usual tools to compile the kernel, while the references to jffs2 are under a comment.
Thank you all,

GioGio

When you recompile and do make menuconfig or make xconfig, you will find the option under filesystems

Thank you.
This is was what I tried as the first thing. But there is a problem highlighted by the fact that, for instance using the command "make xconfig" if you go to the file system option, you get that for jffs and jffs2 file systems you are not able to select (the line is all light grey colored).
This is due to the fact that in the make these options are commented.
Of course you cannot simply uncomment those lines, because it seems some code tree is missing too.
So I do not know how to compile a kernel for slackware 11.0 (2.4.33) with support for jffs2.

could you try enabling support for MTD devices first, I think jffs2 may be dependent on it

Thank you, it seems the right answer. After I enabled the mtd devices I saw the JFFS options enabled. Now I am going to compile it.
Thanks again

Here's the minimum you need to use jffs:
CONFIG_MTD=m
CONFIG_MTD_CHAR=m
CONFIG_MTD_BLOCK=m
