compile kernel with nfsroot option

Does anyone know what otpion i need to set when i recompile the kernel so that it can boot using the nfsroot option? I currently have a RIS Server running PXELinux to boot an initrd file.

Questions:

1. What option to i need to set to compile the Kernel with NFSRoot Option?
2. Do I then need to change my INTRID file. if so what do i need to change?

Thanks!
