There seem to have been a couple of changes to the pages at slackware.com that I do not care for.

1. The link to the mirrors has changed so that instead of going to a nicely laid out page of mirrors by country there is the link to http://mirrors.slackware.com/. You then have to find the link to the mirrors in the panel on the left and that page is rather ugly. Can we have the old one back?
   
2. One has to hunt to find the link for subscription which is buried away on the page for the shop. Shouldn't subscription be in the panel on the homepage?

I really do not see the problem with the new mirror layout. MirrorBrain does provide the means to redirect to the nearest available active mirror. A static list is not reliable.

As to the feedback for Slackware.com, you should be providing/email feedback to the site manager. PV does lurk here at LQ, as do other team members. Robby Workman may provide some site information since it does look like he is the one who made the mirrors.slackware.com changes.

I second the suggestion regarding subscription info. I just changed my CD subscription to DVD but had to send an email to request the change because I couldn't navigate to ...
where ever I should have navigated.

Please, don't make it hard for people to subscribe. THAT should be the EASIEST thing to find - even for an idiot like me.
By the way, long time since I poked my head in here but this release looks very nice. Already loaded on all my boxes.
Nice to see all the same helpful slackers doing their thing here.

The mirror page could be a bit easier to read so one can find the relevant information more quickly. Why is there a web link, mirrors.slackware.com, that points to itself? It's great that Mirrorbrain is mentioned but it should not dominate the main content area, few really care what mirror software is running the mirrors.
It could be simply listed as a small logo at the bottom of the page like many internet server softwares have.
The available mirrors link is lost among all the other less relevant links all over the web page. It could be more prominent so it's easier to find. Just my 2c.

I removed the self-referential hyperlink - that's a valid criticism for sure.
Re content getting lost, I don't really get that - everything is in the sidebar. Admittedly I'm no web developer (I *suck* at webdev), but I really don't see a problem with respect to how "busy" the index page is...

I keep looking at the web site, trying to find something to complain about; I keep coming up blank. The site look great to me.

I think the site is just great. Bone-headed and no-bullshit, true to the Slackware spirit. Maybe one minor improvement could be to include a direct link to the Slackware File Tree (http://mirrors.slackware.com/slackware/) in the main navigation menu on the homepage, maybe just under "Get Slack". But then, this is really a matter of personal taste.

magnet links to the 'official' torrents ( or what are they called? ) to the most recent (still supported/maintained) versions would also kick-ass. Especially for the newest version (I hear it might be called '14'.
