Cannot install clamav

I could not find clamav installation instructions for slackware on its homepage: http://www.clamav.net/lang/en/downlo...ackages-linux/
So I tried to install clamav and clamscan from following in full slackware14 install:
http://pkgs.org/slackware-13.37/slac....txz/download/
http://pkgs.org/slackware-13.37/slac....txz/download/
Although the packages got installed but there is no command of freshclam or clamscan. Where is the problem? Thanks for your help.

You should try compiling it with a slackbuild first, as that's more of a "supported" method. It's possible that the package wasn't built correctly or didn't create links to use the commands.

http://slackbuilds.org/result/?search=clamav&sv=14.0

Don't forget to compile any dependencies.

How can I find out what are the dependencies of an application and whether they are installed? Will the command 'ldd command-name | grep "not found"' be okay?

Here is clamav for Slackware 14.0

http://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.0/system/clamav/

It seems you do not have to install anything additional. Please, read the description, especially:

Quote:
You will need to specify a two-letter country code (such as "us") as an
argument to the COUNTRY variable when running the build script (this will
default to "us" if nothing is specified). For example:
COUNTRY=nl ./clamav.SlackBuild

You need a "clamav" user and group - we suggest uid=210 and gid=210.

See README.SLACKWARE for configuration help.

I've installed ClamAV from slackbuilds about a week ago. I followed the instructions and it works fine.

Don't forget to remove your clamav before you re-install it from slackbuilds.org.
